Ask your 1FFC branch for a payoff quote for the date you intend to pay. A current balance is not necessarily the full amount needed to close the account.

What to request
Ask for the payoff amount, its valid-through date, permitted payment method and any daily interest after expiry. Confirm whether a pending automatic debit or other scheduled payment will still process.
Check optional products and collateral
If the loan includes insurance or a secured interest, ask what happens to cancellation, any refund calculation and release documentation after payoff. A refund amount cannot be inferred from the balance alone.

After payment
Keep the receipt and written account-closure confirmation. Check the next statement and credit reporting for consistency. Use the branch’s error-resolution process if a discrepancy remains.
Early payment, penalties and extra principal
Before paying early, ask whether your signed agreement includes any prepayment charge, how extra payments are applied and whether any interest or optional-product refund is included in the payoff quote. The public sources checked do not establish one penalty or refund rule for every state and contract. A calculator estimates a schedule; the lender supplies the dated account figure.
